Disney on Parade Secrets and Facts

• Disney on Parade premiered with the opening of Hong Kong Disneyland on September 12, 2005.

• Hong Kong Disneyland was originally scheduled to receive Disneyland's long-running Parade of the Stars, which debuted at the park for its 45th anniversary celebration in 2000 and was due to be replaced in 2005 with a new 50th anniversary parade. However, the floats did not age well and officials decided on a new parade for the new park.

• Disney on Parade at Hong Kong Disneyland features almost 100 performers and assisting cast members.

• The creative director for the parade and other shows at Hong Kong Disneyland, Michael Jung, collaborated with various entertainment officials from New York, Hollywood, and various Disney theme parks.

• Floats in Disney on Parade feature Chip 'n' Dale, the Disney princesses and friends, Alice in Wonderland and friends, Ariel the Little Mermaid, Buzz and Woody from Toy Story, and Mickey Mouse and friends in a finale float designed to look like Sleeping Beauty Castle.
