The lucky high bidder will receive his/her own personalized "tombstone" in the finale graveyard scene of the popular attraction, marking the public's first-ever chance to be an enduring part of a Disneyland attraction. At the time of this release, the high-bid price for this "once-in-an-after lifetime" opportunity had climbed to nearly $40,000. Until now, the highest amount ever bid for a piece of Disneyland memorabilia came in 2001, when actor John Stamos purchased the letters from the Disneyland marquee for $30,700. The auction will close at 6:00 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday, October 21. Proceeds from the charity auction will benefit The Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Additional Auction Details
