Celebrate Mary Poppins' Magical 40th Anniversary with New Karaoke CD and Read-Along

Available October 12th on Walt Disney Records

BURBANK, Calif. -- Sing along to the Disney musical masterpiece that has captured the hearts of fans for 40 years with the release of "Disney's Karaoke Series: Mary Poppins" and "Walt Disney's Mary Poppins Read-Along." Both products are available on October 12, 2004 on Walt Disney Records.

"Disney's Karaoke Series: Mary Poppins" is the newest addition to Walt Disney Records' exciting line of CD + Graphics (CD + G) products that allow the song lyrics to appear on a television screen when played in a CD + G machine. "Disney's Karaoke Series: Mary Poppins" includes sixteen tracks, both with and without vocals. In addition to playing in karaoke machines, this versatile CDG also can be used in traditional CD players, making it perfect for car trips, parties and family get-togethers.

"Disney's Karaoke Series: Mary Poppins" contains both the instrumental and vocal versions of eight Disney classics: "Spoonful of Sugar," "Jolly Holiday," "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," "Stay Awake," "I Love to Laugh," "Feed the Birds," "Chim-Chim-Cher-ee" and "Let's Go Fly a Kite."

In addition to the karaoke CD, Walt Disney Records is releasing "Walt Disney's Mary Poppins Read-Along." The read-along captures the fun of this unforgettable tale with an audio CD featuring word-for-word story narration and music from the film as well as a colorful 24-page storybook that allows kids to relive the magic of Mary Poppins.

On October 12, 2004, "Disney's Karaoke Series: Mary Poppins" will be available for a suggested retail price of $9.98 and "Walt Disney's Mary Poppins Read-Along" will be available for a suggested retail price of $5.98. Continuing the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the legendary Mary Poppins movie, on November 16th Walt Disney Records will release a musical must-have with the two-disc "Mary Poppins Special Edition Soundtrack."
