American Idol star Clay Aiken sings deleted song at DVD debut of Disney's Aladdin: Special Edition

Hollywood, CA -- "Wishes were granted" at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, CA, when celebrities gathered for the worldwide DVD debut of Walt Disney Pictures' ALADDIN: 2-Disc Special Edition Disney DVD.

The new Aladdin DVD will be available on October 5, 2004.American Idol winner Clay Aiken performs the deleted song "Proud of Your Boy," included on Disney DVD's new release Aladdin: Special Edition.

American Idol star Clay Aiken performed the deleted song "Proud of Your Boy."

The song was written for the original film, and it is now sung by American Idol singer Clay Aiken and included on the Aladdin: Special Edition 2-disc DVD.

Those in attendance included: Richard Cook (chairman of The Walt Disney Studios), Robert Chapek, (president of Buena Vista Home Entertainment), Gordon Ho, (senior vice president of Buena Vista Home Entertainment marketing), talent from the film including Scott Weinger (Aladdin), Linda Larkin (Jasmine), Gilbert Gottfried (Iago), as well as special celebrity guests Beau Bridges, Ernie Hudson, D.L. Hughley, Amy Yasbeck and many more.
