The Disneyland Report > Disney News > Walt Disney Resort parks to reopen on Monday Disney NewsWalt Disney Resort parks to reopen Monday after Hurricane JeanneAll Walt Disney World Resort theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom) and water parks (Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach) will reopen on Monday, September 27. The parks were closed on Sunday, September 26, due to Hurricane Jeanne, which was downgraded to a tropical storm and continued northward toward Georgia on Sunday night. The Walt Disney World closures were announced on Saturday upon consultation with weather experts. The Walt Disney World Resort has also announced that Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will re-open for guests on Tuesday, September 28. Disney's Vero Beach Resort will re-open for guests on Saturday, October 2. Guests who have scheduled reservations at either one of these resorts arriving before Tuesday, September 28 are encouraged to call (407) W-DISNEY. Return to Disney News. |
