Hurricane Ivan update

Now a tropical depression, Ivan has created much damage, but not at Walt Disney World

Although Hurricane Ivan is now winding down, it has created devastation and loss of life. Almost 30 people were killed by Hurricane Ivan, and now the challenge is cleaning up the mess created by the huge hurricane.

The city of New Orleans, which is already slightly below sea level and relies on pumps to keep the water out, was spared from flooding disaster when the worst of Hurricane Ivan narrowly missed the city.

However, the hurricane has still created much destruction, with many homes destroyed.

Now considered a tropical depression, Ivan now has the potential to generate heavy rain, according to the National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration.

An advisory issued by the NOAA warns about heavy flooding and potential flash floods in northern Alabama, eastern Tennessee, and certain areas in the states of Kentucky and Ohio.

There are no reports that Walt Disney World was affected by Hurricane Ivan. The storm missed most of Florida, and that ensured that Walt Disney World damage due to Hurricane Ivan was nonexistent.
