Hurricane Jeanne update

Hurricane Jeanne may be on its way

Hurricane Charley, Hurricane Frances, and Hurricane Ivan have all left trails of devastation across the United States, but one more hurricane may be the fourth to hit the United States this season with its projected path.

In response to the newly developed Hurricane Jeanne, the National Weather Service of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has issued a hurricane watch and hurricane warning for areas in the Bahamas, and heavy rain and dangerous waves were predicted.

The NOAA advisory warns that Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic may face isolated tornados.

"Jeanne is expected to weaken to a tropical storm later today as a result of its encounter with Hispaniola but should regain hurricane strength on Friday," according to the advisory.

It remains too early to determine if Hurricane Jeanne will affect the Walt Disney World Resort.
