The National Weather Service predicts that Hurricane Ivan could hit Central Florida late Monday or early Tuesday. If Hurricane Ivan maintains its intensity, it could hit hard Central Florida, the Walt Disney World Resort, and surrounding Orlando areas. This map from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration shows Hurricane Ivan's projected path for the next five days. Many Floridians, especially those living in the southernmost regions, have already been told to evacuate. Floridians continue to watch closely to see if Hurricane Ivan will strike with the intensity of Hurricane Charley or Hurricane Frances, which left a wide swath of destruction across Florida.
