Walt Disney World Hurricane Charley Update$100,000 Donated by DisneyHand to United Way and American Red CrossDisneyHand, worldwide outreach for The Walt Disney Company, will contribute a total of $100,000 to the American Red Cross and the Heart of Florida United Way to assist the Central Florida community and other areas affected by Hurricane Charley. In a letter to Cast Members today, Disney CEO Michael Eisner said, Our thoughts and prayers are with our fellow Cast Members and our fellow Americans during this difficult time. Even after the storms have passed, the rebuilding and recovery effort will continue to be part of their lives for some time to come. As always, we strive to be a responsible member of the Central Florida community, and we will continue to do our part to help. August 15, 2004 -- HOURS OF OPERATION Walt Disney World opened all four of its theme parks this morning, following a normal operating schedule. Magic Kingdom -- 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. The Ft.
