Walt Disney World theme parks back to normal operations following Hurricane Charley

Damage from Hurricane Charley still being assessed; Walt Disney World's Typhoon Lagoon still closed

The Walt Disney World Resort will have normal operating hours on Sunday, August 15 with the following exceptions:

Typhoon Lagoon: Closed
Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf: 4pm - 11pm
Lake Buena Vista golf course and Palm golf courses: Closed

Since Hurricane Charley, the Walt Disney World Resort's focus has been on ensuring that its theme parks are safe and operational for its Guests and Cast Members.

Like other members of the Central Florida community, the Walt Disney World Resort property received some damage as a result of Hurricane Charley. While it is too early to assess the total impact of the storm, the Walt Disney World Resort would not open unless it was safe for Guests and Cast Members.

Guests who have questions should call (407) WDW-INFO or (407) 939-4636.
