Disneyland announces extended hours for Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at Disneyland

When Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage opens to the public at Disneyland on Monday, guests will be able to join the line up to the official park closing time and the attraction will continue operating for up to 2 1/2 hours after.

The extended hours for the attraction essentially creates an "8th operating day" for the attraction, Disneyland announced.

We're very excited to bring back the classic subs attraction, which we know will appeal to guests of all ages," said Ed Grier, president of the Disneyland Resort. "In order to meet what we believe will be very high demand, we're virtually adding an '8th day' to the week."

During the busy summer season, Disneyland is usually open for about 16 hours each day for guests. With 2.5 extra hours of operation each day for Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage this summer (about 17.5 hours each week), Disneyland is virtually creating an extra day each week for guests to experience the new Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.

In addition to the attraction's extended hours, Disneyland is truly celebrating in "Finding Nemo" style. Guests waiting in the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage queue will be given special activity guides to find "Hidden Nemos" and to play special games based on the Pixar film.

The new offerings are in anticipation of making the expected long lines a bit more bearable for Disneyland guests. The attraction is expected to be popular, but the ride has a relatively low hourly capacity. Extended hours allows more guests to experience the attraction, and additional activities will make waiting in the queue more enjoyable.

Disneyland has also announced that this summer Tomorrowland eateries will serve "Finding Nemo"-themed food items. Snack packs featuring cheddar fish crackers with an "East Australian Crunch," popcorn buckets, cupcakes, and frozen apple juice will be available for purchase in the land.

Disneyland's Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage opens June 11.
