What's included in Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean 3 premiere ticket price
So after last week's announcement that Disneyland is selling to the public tickets for the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End premiere, you're considering shelling out the $1,500 per person to go. Sure it's for a good cause (the dream-granting Make-A-Wish Foundation, to be exact), but how many of us have $1,500 just laying around? For a night at Disneyland?
Here are some things to consider about the Hollywood-style premiere:
The announcement confirmed that the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End premiere will indeed be at Disneyland and will be on May 19, 2007. So even if you don't buy a ticket to attend, you could still show up at Disneyland early that day to get a glimpse of a famous person or two.
The ticket money goes to a good cause. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has worked with Disney and Disneyland to make the dreams of thousands of children come true. Disneyland hopes to make $3 million to donate to the charity through opening ticket sales for this premiere to the public.
If you like celebrities, you might enjoy this event. Some people wait all day at Disneyland to see some of the Pirates of the Caribbean stars, but you could be walking alongside them on the red carpet. Stars Johnny Depp, Keira Knightly, and Orlando Bloom have attended the previous Pirates premieres and are expected to attend this one for At World's End. Other cast members such as Geoffrey Rush and Chow Yun-Fat may also show up. Other celebrities will be on hand, making this an event that is sure to be covered in celebrity magazines, television shows, and websites.
The ticket includes a screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which is the thrilling conclusion to the pirates trilogy. A special movie screen will be set up on the Rivers of America on Tom Sawyer Island (which itself is becoming a pirates-themed play area that will open later this summer), and bleachers will be set up along New Orleans Square for the movie. Ticket-holders will have reserved seats, popcorn, and soft drinks at the outdoor venue.
Before the film, ticket-holders will have access to a special buffet dinner at the pre-party, which will be held in Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Adventureland and Critter Country.
You would get free parking in the Timon Parking Lot.
And you would get access to some of the most popular attractions at Disneyland: Splash Mountain, the Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the Indiana Jones Adventure, the Haunted Mansion, and of course, Pirates of the Caribbean, the ride that started it all and which was updated last year to include audio-animatronic figures of Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa, as well as appearances by Davy Jones.
No video recording or cameras are permitted at the actual film screening. Also, tickets cannot be resold on eBay or other ticket-selling agencies. Tickets are through will call only.
