Appreciate art? Gush over "stars"? Like dazzling lights? If the response is "Yes ... Yes ... Yes ... Yes," then Walt Disney World Resort has dreamed up the dreamiest "long weekend" imaginable Nov. 11 through Nov. 14. It's a time that will be replete with the glitz and glamour of soap stars, culinary creations, luscious libations and masterful visual art creations . . . all capped off with the seasonal premiere of one of the country's most colorful holiday light displays. Here's what's in store:
Continued Below Here's a brief look at each event: Festival of the Masters: Nov. 11-13, award-winning visual artists in record numbers -- more than 200 from around the country -- will transform Downtown Disney into a vast outdoor gallery. They will showcase painting, photography, glass works, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, jewelry and, for the first time, digital art. Live entertainment and children's activities also will be a part of the weekend event. Festival guests can also experience culinary offerings and dance to live music. Pleasure Island will feature live bands on the West End and Hub Stages. Hours for Festival of the Masters are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, Nov. 11-13. There is no charge for admission or parking. ABC Super Soap Weekend: Nov. 12-13, Susan Lucci ("All My Children") headlines a lineup of more than 30 stars from ABC Daytime dramas at Disney-MGM Studios. Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery on "All My Children") will host "I Wanna Be a Soap Star, Super Soap Edition" at this year's event, bringing the excitement of SOAPnet's hit reality series to Super Soap Weekend. Walt Willey (Jackson Montgomery on "All My Children") will resume hosting duties for "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire-Super Soap Edition." Throughout the weekend, fans will have the opportunity to meet favorite stars from "All My Children," "One Life to Live" and "General Hospital." Festivities include celebrity motorcades, autograph sessions, game shows, interviews and the chance to purchase one-of-a-kind memorabilia from each of the shows. The Colgate Total Street Jam will close the event each day with live musical performances by some favorite Daytime stars. The fun is included with regular Disney-MGM Studios admission. Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: Nov. 11-13 marks the final weekend of the six-week festival featuring some 100 wineries, celebrated chefs, wine schools, seminars, beer tastings, kids activities and elaborate dinners. The final lineup of the nightly Eat to the Beat! concert series at America Gardens Theatre: Three Dog Night (Nov. 11-13). Tickets are still available for special events including Party for the Senses grand tasting celebration at World Showplace (Nov. 12) and Ferreira Vintage Port of Portugal Vertical Tasting (Nov. 12). Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights: Kicking off Nov. 14 and continuing through Jan. 8, 2006, The Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights at Disney-MGM Studios will feature more nights of lights than ever before -- lights by the millions illuminating the Streets of America backlot. There is a little ceremony each day during which a guest gets to "throw the switch," transforming the street into a holiday wonderland. Four events jam-packed into one extended weekend equals more fun and savings for Walt Disney World guests. Florida residents can take advantage of in-park festivities with the purchase of a 3-Day Play Pass -- 3 days for the price of a two-day ticket ($119 ages 10+, $96 ages 3-9).
