John Fiedler, voice of Piglet from Disney's Winnie the Pooh series, dies at age 80

John Fiedler, voice of insecure Winnie the Pooh character Piglet, died at age 80 on Saturday.

Fiedler, a veteran Broadway actor, appeared in the plays A Raisin in the Sun, 12 Angry Men, and The Odd Couple, among several others. He also appeared in the film versions of A Raisin in the Sun and The Odd Couple.

Fiedler voiced Piglet to the end, including 2003’s Piglet’s Big Movie and this year’s Pooh’s Heffalump Movie.

Fiedler also voiced characters in other Disney films including The Emperor’s New Groove as the Old Man, The Fox and the Hound as the porcupine’s voice, Robin Hood, and The Rescuers.
