On May 5, 2005, Disneyland will begin the "Happiest Celebration on Earth," which will invite guests to visit the Disney parks with new shows, rides, and attractions. Disneyland, Walt Disney's original theme park, which actually opened on July 17, 1955, will receive a new parade (Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams) and fireworks spectacular (Remember … Dreams Come True), as well as a newly opened Space Mountain, which will feature a new soundtrack and lighting effects. Last month, the park opened its newest attraction, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. Walt Disney World will receive a new attraction at each of its four theme parks. The Cinderellabration stage show will debut at the Magic Kingdom, while Epcot will receive the Soarin' simulator ride at The Land pavilion. Disney-MGM Studios will premiere the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show, and Disney's Animal Kingdom will feature the new Audio-Animatronic dinosaur Lucky, along with the opening of the thrilling Expedition Everest roller coaster. Disneyland Paris will premiere the popular Wishes fireworks show from Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Finally, Hong Kong Disneyland, the newest Disney resort and theme park, will open later this year. It is the second Disney resort in Asia after Tokyo Disneyland, which opened in the early 1980s.
