The queue section in front has a new look imported from Disneyland, and the entire sound system has been upgraded along with some of the audio-animatronic figures. For serious Disney fans, part of the fun is checking for differences including a few changes in the dancing dolls. The ride, which has been fixed up several times, has been shuttered for most of the past year for its first major overhaul. The Soarin' ride at Epcot also has had a few "soft opening" run-throughs, but the unannounced trials were said to have been put on hold after some technical issues cropped up. Soarin', It's a Small World and other new rides are expected to be
fully operational by May 5, when Disney launches its 50th anniversary
celebration of Disneyland. Return to Disney News.
