A seven-year-old child died at the scene of the car accident, according to the Associated Press. Four other family members were injured in the accident, three critically. They were taken to a local hospital to be treated. The driver, age 17, was released without charges and not identified because he is a minor. It was not clear why the driver did not stop for the family crossing the street near the Anaheim Convention Center, but drugs or alcohol did not appear to play a role. The family that was struck in the car accident near Disneyland was reported to be from San Francisco and had just visited Disneyland. Police are still investigating the accident.
