The Splash Mountain refurb brought new seats to the attraction log vehicles. While guests still straddle a bench in the middle of the hollowed out log, there is now one more seat in each boat than before the refurbishment. The newer logs seat six guests instead of the previous five, slightly increasing ride capacity. The seat in the very back of the log is now also wider to accommodate larger guests. The spring refurbishment also brought Splash Mountain newly painted scenes and refreshed the Audio-Animatronics. The Disneyland attraction remains one of the most popular in the park.
During hot summer months, the Splash Mountain wait time can exceed three
hours. Return to Disney News.
