The Disneyland Report > Disney News > FCC declares Monday Night Football skit not indecent Disney NewsFCC declares Monday Night Football skit not indecentSkit starred Terrell Owens and "Desperate Housewives" star Nicollette Sheridan on ABCBy The Disneyland Report staff The Federal Communications Commission has declared that a Monday Night Football skit starring Philadelphia Eagles football star Terrell Owens and "Desperate Housewives" actress Nicollette Sheridan was not indecent. The skit, which showed a bare Sheridan jumping into Owens' arms, raised complaints by some that it was too provocative. However, the FCC's unanimous ruling that the segment was not indecent ensures that ABC stations will not have to pay a fine for airing the skit. In the past year, television networks have come under close scrutiny from conservative groups over television programming. However, other groups claim that these complaints are going too far and complaining too much by taking advantage of the restrictive political climate in the country. The Walt Disney Company owns ABC, which has found hits in its Monday
Night Football programming as well as the hit TV drama "Desperate
Housewives." Return to Disney News.
