Lucky students from John Robert Powers schools to attend premiere
of new Disney film 'Ice Princess'
Hollywood - After a nationwide radio talent search, John Robert Powers
announced today that they will select five winners to attend Walt Disney
Pictures' world premiere of "Ice Princess," starring Joan
Cusack, Kim Cattrall, and Michelle Trachtenberg.
The "Ice Princess" premiere is scheduled to be held at the
historic El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on March 13th and opens nationwide
March 18th.
As part of a nationwide radio contest held in major cities such as
Chicago, Boston, Seattle, Washington DC, Nashville, and Miami, John
Robert Powers has given the opportunity for aspiring actors to display
their talent in front of Hollywood agents.
Five lucky winners will be chosen and flown to Los Angeles and given
the full Hollywood treatment, complete with a limousine escort, hotel
accommodations, a shopping spree, and full make-over before their star
studded arrival on the red carpet for the premiere of "Ice Princess."
The winners will be given access to the star studded after-party, where
the parking lot of the El Capitan Theatre will be transformed into an
ice rink. Attending guests and the film's stars will be able to show
off their own skating skills.
The film, "Ice Princess" is a perfect match for John Robert
Powers School Systems which are committed to the development of young
boys and girls who are interested in becoming actors, models, singers
and dancers. "Ice Princess" stars Michelle Trachtenberg who
got her start in Hollywood as a young girl in Disney's "Harriet
the Spy" and "Inspector Gadget."
In the film she plays Casey Carlyle, a math loving high school bookworm
who gets caught between the fantasy of becoming a championship figure
skater and her strong-willed mother's plan to put her on the fast track
to Harvard.
When Casey gets the chance to train with a former skating champion,
she must dash her own mother's hopes in order to pursue her dream. Casey
takes the challenge of her life when she competes against the best to
make it into the championship circuit and become a true "ice princess."
