New Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith trailer debuts on Fox's
'The OC'
The trailer for the third and final installment of the new Star Wars
trilogy of prequels, "Star Wars Episode III: The Return of the
Sith," debuted Thursday on Fox during the TV drama "The OC."
The Star Wars III trailer offers a taste of the light saber battles
and dramatic views of the lava-filled lands that will be the centerpiece
of the new film. It also imparts the plotline of Anakin Skywalker turning
to the "dark side."
Premiering the Revenge of the Sith trailer during an episode of "The
OC" is seen as a marketing ploy by the Fox channel to promote the
television drama.
The new film, the sixth in the Star Wars franchise, is said to be the
darkest of all the films so far because it details the final events
that turn character Anakin Skywalker into the villain Darth Vader. The
movie may receive a PG-13 rating for its violence and fight scenes.
"Star Wars Episode 3: Return of the Sith" is set to premiere
in May.
There have been rumors of the Star Tours attractions at Disneyland
and Disney-MGM Studios at Walt Disney World based on the original Star
Wars Trilogy getting a new film to feature scenes and characters from
the newest films.
