Pixar and Disney's 'The Incredibles' wins Academy Awards for best
animated feature, sound editing
Pixar Animation Studios's 'The Incredibles,' a computer-animated action
film about a family of action heroes, was awarded the Oscar for Best
Animated Feature Film on Sunday night.
Popular actor and comedian Robin Williams presented the Oscar category,
where "The Incredibles" faced competition from two computer-animated
films by DreamWorks studios: "Shark Tale" and "Shrek
2," which is currently the highest-grossing animated film.
Director Brad Bird was honored with the Oscar for his work on the film.
"The Incredibles," released by Disney, also picked up an
Academy Award for Achievement in Sound Editing. Michael Silvers and
Randy Thom received the Oscars for the category.
"The Incredibles" will be released on DVD and VHS on March
15 in a two-disc Collector's Edition set.
