The entertainment industry is gearing up for one of its biggest events,
the Academy Awards, which will be held this Sunday.
The Walt Disney Company has a shot of winning in the best picture category
with its Miramax released film "The Aviator" starring Leonardo
DiCaprio.
Other best picture Oscar nominees this year include Clint Eastwood's
"Million Dollar Baby," the wine country comedy "Sideways,"
Ray Charles biopic "Ray" starring Jamie Foxx, and "Finding
Neverland" with Johnny Depp.
Sometimes-controversial comedian Chris Rock will be the host of the
Academy Awards this year. The producers of this year's Oscars presentation
selected him to host the show to bring new life to the show.
Other techniques to change the format of the show include having all
the nominees in a category appear onstage before the recipient is announced
or giving the golden "Oscar" statuettes in the audience.
