Singer Victoria Beckham, nicknamed Posh during her time as a member
of the Spice Girls, has given birth to her third son with soccer player
David Beckham.
The son, delivered by cesarean section, was born in Madrid on Saturday,
and was given the Spanish name Cruz. David Beckham is currently playing
soccer for the Real Madrid team.
However, many consider the name to be strange because Cruz is usually
a Spanish last name and is otherwise considered a girl's name when used
as a first name.
Victoria Beckham and David Beckham have two other sons named Brooklyn
and Romeo.
The couple is very popular and closely scrutinized in Europe.
