"The Aviator" won the award for best drama, but its famed director, Martin Scorsese, did not receive the award for best director. That award was given to Clint Eastwood in honor of his directing duties for "Million Dollar Baby." "Sideways" was the winner in the best comedy or musical category, and Jamie Foxx was honored for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the film "Ray." ABC's hit show "Desperate Housewives" won best comedy, and
