Mickey's Shining Star Cavalcade stars favorite characters at Disneyland

As Disneyland awaits the new Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams for the park's 50th birthday celebration, some new street entertainment is being offered along the park's parade route.

Mickey's Shining Star Cavalcade features many of the favorite Disney characters dancing down the Disneyland parade route to the song "Mickey Mouse Our Shining Star." The song is from the show One Man's Dream, which once played at Tokyo Disneyland and the Fantasyland Theater in Disneyland.

The three good fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather start the procession off. Young performers wearing Mickey Mouse shirts dance behind them.

Then come the Disney princesses, Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, and Belle, on the Main Street Fire Engine.

After several characters march in front, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale arrive on a staircase. They conclude the quick procession.

Mickey's Shining Star Cavalcade is currently running twice a day in the afternoon along the Disneyland parade route.
