The show will be broadcast live on NBC. Disney-Pixar hit The Incredibles was nominated for Best Picture (musical or comedy). It faces competition from the films "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," "The Phantom of the Opera," "Ray," and "Sideways." "Sideways" was nominated in seven categories, while Martin Scorsese's "The Aviator" is also a strong contender with six nominations. ABC's "Lost" was nominated for best drama series, and "Desperate Housewives" is nominated in the best musical or comedy series. Three actresses from "Desperate Housewives," Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman, and Teri Hatcher were nominated for best actress in a comedy or musical series, and Nicolette Sheridan, another actress from Desperate Housewives, was nominated for best supporting actress in a miniseries or movie.
